BOCA GRANDE LIGHTHOUSE, FLORIDA USA

This lighthouse fascinated artist Sheila Carey because of its backstory. Legend has it that pirate Jose Gaspar kidnapped a Spanish officer's wife and, when  he forced  himself on her at this beach, she spat in his face. Angered, he drew his sword and lopped off her head.

So, to this day the beautiful woman haunts this lighthouse. Carey claims she did not paint that white light in one of the windows...it appeared mysteriously after the painting was completed!
